Joseph Storehouse Food Giveaway

Volunteers wait with wheelbarrows to deliver food to the vehicles of each person or family. Each are given what appears to be a weeks worth of groceries and supplies that include back-to-school items, diapers and pet food. Pastor Robert Evans says they started out meaning to feed twenty-two people.

8:00 a.m. Labor Day weekend

At 8pm on Friday night, people started lining up at Joseph's Storehouse, in Lebanon, Tennessee. They slept in their cars. Typically it's hardest during the last few days of the month. On average, this group of Americans lives whether alone or with their families, on $700. a month.

Cedar Seniors

Looks pretty tame doesn't it? In truth, the Cedar Seniors Center (say that three times fast), in Lebanon, Tennessee wasn't serving lunch when I was there but it was a lot like being at someone's house. Someone with a pretty big dining room, that is. I guess they had room for about forty people. There was a jukebox too, with a painting of The Last Supper hanging right next to it. For obvious reasons, The Last Supper is pretty popular in places where people gather to find food. It is so popular in fact, that I'm adding a category for it here.
