Behind the Salvation Army, on Berry Street, there's a little plot of ground where employees and volunteers grew a garden last year. Until the drought was in full swing, they were able to pass out a few fresh vegetables along with emergency food boxes. This year, they hope to ramp it up a little bit, make the rows longer and more uniform. Before getting started, they need to find someone with a tiller and cheerful disposition.
If anyone out there knows such a person, don't hesitate to get in touch.
